Now, draw away, changing colors, brushes and composition. You are not happy with a stroke? Delete it and correct. Finally - save, and you have a file that can be printed on paper or canvas on your home printer or on a large professional digital printer in sizes up to 6 ft. or more.

אני מצייר במכחול על בד או באצבע על מסך מגע של אייפד. האייפד מעניק חוויה של רישום מהיר, משוחרר מעכבות. במיוחד קוסמת האפשרות למחוק על המסך במחי אצבע נגיעת צבע בלתי רצויה – בלי להשאיר עקבות בציור או במצפון. עבודות מהאייפד מודפסות על מצעים שונים: נייר, בד, אלומיניום ושילובים של פרספקס.
בין הבד לאייפד קיים לעתים דיאלוג: רישום שעשיתי על אייפד אני מעביר אל הבד באמצעות מכחול וצבע. אם הציור שנוצר על הבד מגיע למבוי סתום, הוא חוזר לאייפד לניסוי פתרונות קומפוזיציה וצבע שונים, שאחר כך שוב יכולים לחזור אל הבד וחוזר חלילה.
בסופו של יום, השילוב של מכחול ובד עם צבעים מוחשיים וזורמים - נשאר ההרכב המנצח של הציור. הוא מאפשר ביטוי פלסטי ומוחשי של תחושות, מראות ודמיונות. משהו מיוחד קורה במגע הצבע עם הבד.
אני חש שציוריי נעים במישורים מקבילים: האחד, אנליטי ופיגורטיבי. השני, סובייקטיבי ומשוחרר, בו הדמיון משתלט ונענה לשינויים בציור ואכן הציור לפעמים נוטל את ההובלה. אני משנה לעתים קרובות מדיום וסגנון ונותן דרור לתחושות בנושא של מתח החיים בארץ ועתידה של ישראל - דרך משקפיים די כהים.
נמשכתי לפיסול בברזל (היסוד הנפוץ ביותר בכדור הארץ), בשל תכונותיו הייחודיות: שילוב של קשיחות מול רכות (בעודו חם) ושל טקסטורות שמשתנות עם הזמן ומעניקות לפסלים חיים משלהם.
Experimenting with materials and techniques: Iron, the most abundant element on earth, is a fascinating material, hard but forgiving (when heated), with textures that vary with time, giving to sculptures lives of their own.
Drawing on an iPad offers the magic of the touchscreen, where a simple swipe deletes an unwanted stroke of the virtual brush, leaving no incriminating trace or remorse.
However I also use brush and fluid, tangible, oil and acrylic paints, the classic materials of painting. Layer upon layer of paint reflect the complexity of life versus the relatively impersonal quality of the digital medium. Sometimes when a brush-on-canvas painting gets stuck and vitality ebbs from it I transfer the brush painting as a digital file to the iPad where I can explore new variations in composition and color. In the dialogue between the versions ,new avenues emerge that influence and sometimes radically transform the painting that in a way has thus taken the lead.
Some of my works express opposition to violence and to the political repression now widespread in the conflicts in our area, by allusion to mourning, anxiety and the need for resolve in the face of religious and racial fanaticism on all sides.
